Weerai Music celebrates the life of the late Kat Gaynor – our company’s A&R representative who was responsible for the signing of Erick Walls, Edna Wright and Fred Perry.

Over her long career in music, Kat was described as a “One Woman Army” from her former position as CEO of Smoke A Lot Records, Inc. to her A&R work with Warner Brothers Records.

From 1999 to 2007- Kat was directly involved in artist and repertoire, marketing and promotion, tour coordination both in the US and in foreign territories. In addition to day-to-day operations she secured production deals, assisted in new media licenses and publishing agreements for members of the Smoke-A-Lot Records roster.

Kat took her wealth of knowledge to Warner Brothers Records in 2010 and worked in A&R. Throughout her years with Warner she worked directly with artists through live shows, word-of-mouth campaigns, and showcases. Kat’s work with engineers, writers and producers has provided her with a rich background in the music scene.

Demonstrating Kat’s affinity to entrepreneurship she founded Kat Entertainment Group in 2008 and currently manages the rock band Black Waat3r in addition to working with Weerai Music in the capacity of catalog acquisitions and A&R.
