Nashville – TN.
Jerome “J-ROC” Harmon performs two songs on keys with Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton live on stage at the 2015 Country Music Awards.
The hit-making music producer and multi-instrumentalist accompanied Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake as the two sung, “Tennessee Whiskey” from Stapleton’s debut album Traveler. The Stapleton accompanied on Justin Timberlake’s “Drink You Away” – the pop, R&B, and country music cross over that J-ROC co-produced for the second installment of The 20/20 Experience.
“Drink You Away” was also covered by country music singer David Fanning at CMJFest on BMI’s stage. Chris Bosman of Time described the cross-over song as “country-pop,” while Greg Knot of the Chicago Tribune leaned towards, “gospel-blues.”
“Drink You Away” was recorded at Larrabee studios in North Hollywood and engineered by Chris Godbey. Justin Timberlake, J-ROC and Timbaland were the writing team behind the cross-over song.
